Have you always felt different from everybody else, like you didn’t fit in or belong? Like no one understood you or got you?  Well, me too.  Many times I have felt like a Martian living in a strange, foreign land, disconnected from everyone, struggling with the temptation to conform and follow the popular crowd.  As children we are often taught how to think, act and live a certain way, to follow a predestined guidebook of rules, beliefs and ways of thinking.

The majority of society follows these rules diligently without question, accepting it as their truth, fearing the consequences if they don’t. They realize that is far more easier to be like everybody else than to be different.  Certain individuals though refuse to conform and would rather stand alone than be apart of the crowd embracing their uniqueness and sharing it with the world.  When it comes down to it, we are all different, special and unique, with our own experiences, talent, gifts and stories.  I say, embrace Diversity Now!

So the question is, do you want to stand out, embrace who you are, as a diverse being or not?  Are you willing to be different?

The definition of Diversity is “the state or fact of being diverse; difference; unlikeness.”

The world is filled with many different cultures, races, religions and groups. Where we are born and what race we are born into helps determine who we are, forming our beliefs, traditions, family heritage and cultural/society norms.  For instance, I was born in Tucson Arizona in the United States of America to Don and Peggy Ebner. I am Caucasian with German, Polish, English and French decent.

What diversity means to me is that we are all special, unique, and different and that each one of us has talents, gifts, abilities and experiences that provide us with our own personal important message to share.   I am very diverse.  I am a gay male, I am spiritual, I am a vocal entertainer, Radio/TV show host, producer, publicist, humanitarian, light worker and the list goes on.  But more importantly I have a message to share with humanity, a message of love, hope and healing.  Through my challenging experiences I have made a choice to learn and grow, face my fears and adversities, and embrace being diverse.

Diversity Now Radio is a platform for not only me to share who I am but for other diverse leaders around the globe to voice their experiences, wisdom, concerns and help unite society one person at a time.
